Parent & Guardian Service Expectations

GTCHS is built on partnership, and we ask each family to actively contribute to our school culture. Parents/guardians are asked to complete 18 hours of volunteer service per adult (up to 36 hours per family) annually.

Family service can include:

Working in the Charter Café during lunch
Helping with school beautification or mailings
Volunteering at school events or dances
Judging Speech/Debate competitions
Assisting teachers or tutoring students
Chaperoning field trips
Carpool driving (up to 20 hours per family)
Supporting sports or club activities

Parent service opportunities and in-kind donation requests will be posted every week in the Weekly Warrior e-newsletter.

Prefer to give in-kind?

Donations can be counted toward service hours at a rate of $10 in goods = 1 service hour. Common needs include:

Reams of copy paper
Requested classroom or office supplies
Gift cards or food for school events
