Charter-Built. Community-Fueled.
SUPPORT GTCHS
Greenville Technical Charter High School is a public charter school, but public charter funding alone doesn’t fully cover the kind of education we’re committed to providing. From college textbooks and scholarships to classroom technology, capital renovations, and enrichment opportunities, your support helps us sustain a learning experience that’s rigorous, personal, and forward-thinking.
Unlike traditional public schools, GTCHS receives no public funding for facilities and significantly less per-pupil financing overall. In 2024–2025, public district schools in South Carolina received an average of $19,376 per student. GTCHS will receive just $12,891, a gap of $6,485 per student.
This is where our community steps in. Every donation helps close that gap and fuels the kind of high-impact, student-centered learning that defines the Warrior experience.
Please contact Director of Development Tyler Barefoot to discuss supporting GTCHS at TBarefoot@staff.gtchs.org or 864-672-3794.

Gifts to GTCHS directly impact students through programs and projects
Your support helps GTCHS bridge the gap between public charter funding and the rich, college-ready experience our students deserve. Here are a few meaningful ways to make an impact:
Ways to Give
- Monthly or One-Time Giving
Every gift matters. Our annual giving program supports the GTCHS experience, including academic resources, enrichment opportunities, and student support. Giving is easy to set up online, whether as a one-time donation or a monthly gift to sustain that momentum throughout the year. - Company Matching & Sponsorships
Double your impact through employer matching programs or sponsor a specific program, event, or need. Reach out to see how your business can partner with GTCHS. - Naming Opportunities
Major donors have the chance to leave a lasting legacy by naming campus spaces, such as the cafeteria, science or computer labs, gym, theater, or even entire buildings. Recognition opportunities are available for individuals and companies. - Wish List Giving
Throughout the year, we share a curated list of items needed for classrooms, clubs, and extracurriculars. It’s a great way to meet tangible needs with immediate impact.
Where Your Gift Goes
- Building 120 Renovation Project — a transformative $2 million+ capital project that will provide a dedicated cafeteria, seminar spaces, counseling suites, and flexible learning environments. The building will also house four science labs, expanding access to lab-based instruction.
- Student Technology & Classrooms — investments in updated Clear Touch panels, Chromebooks, and advanced lab equipment.
- Dual Enrollment Support — GTCHS covers 60% of Greenville Technical College tuition costs for dual enrollment students and funds 100% of college textbook costs (averaging $65,000 per year), which removes barriers to higher education and ensures equitable access to college credit opportunities. Total annual tuition investment: ~$325,000 per year.
- Fine Arts & Athletics — funding for performance licensing, instruments, uniforms, and athletic equipment.
What Makes GTCHS Different from Other Dual Enrollment Programs?
Here, dual enrollment is the model.
Our students don’t just take one or two college classes in their senior year. They learn how to be college students beginning in 10th grade, surrounded by the support of a high school team that knows how to help them grow.
To remove financial barriers, we cover 60% of tuition and 100% of textbook costs.
