Board of Directors

Guiding Vision. Grounded Leadership.

The GTCHS Board of Directors plays a vital role in advancing our school’s mission. This group of dedicated volunteers brings expertise in education, business, law, finance, and community service, and each member shares a commitment to maintaining the academic excellence, innovation, and integrity that define the Warrior Way.

The Board is responsible for setting policy, ensuring financial oversight, supporting strategic initiatives, and upholding our charter per state law. Most importantly, the Board exists to ensure that every decision made serves the best interests of our students.

Message from the Chair

As I begin my seventh year on the board and fourth year as Board Chair, I remain deeply grateful for the dedication of my fellow board members. Each of them brings wisdom, time, and heart to this work—with students always at the center of every decision.

As a parent of three GTCHS graduates, I’ve seen firsthand the power of this school to shape the future lives of our students. Whether going on to a four year college, completing their associates degree or getting the training certificates for high paying jobs, our students are leading the way.  We are consistently a top ten in EOC exams, career readiness and SAT/ACT scores in the state.  To continue to innovate and offer new opportunities, we acquired building 120. Piece by piece, as funding and fundraising allows, we will continue the renovation of Building 120. While it appears daunting, I am reminded of the saying, “How do you eat an elephant?  One bite at a time.”  Works for all obstacles in our lives.

To our students, you have everything you need to build a bright future. Make a plan, stay focused, and keep showing up. Failing to plan is a plan to fail and that is not the Warrior Way. Warriors lead the way and blaze the trail for others to follow. The best is yet to come, and I’m proud to walk alongside you in this journey.

Advancing Our Students Academically

Our model aligns high school and college curricula through a true dual enrollment experience, not just AP classes or exam-based credit. GTCHS follows a mastery-based learning model, requiring students to earn a minimum grade of 75 to receive credit for both high school and college courses.
